When i made my first design, i didn't have any knowlegde about making 3-D organisations. So my main focus was to make it balanced. We were not allowed to use any type of glue and the first idea that comes to my mind was opening slits and putting them together in accordance with certain rules.I have three elements in my design ; the ones with single side slits, the ones with single corner slits and the one with two slits on opposite sides.I put one square vertically and another one horizontally to create an order.I didn't want it to be linear so i added the squares with corner slits to create lenght and connected them with another square to make structure strong and stable.
